Overview of statistical practice
Monthly and yearly statistics on asylum and migration are published by the Migration Office of the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic (MO) on the website of the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic (MoI). In addition, the Bureau of Border and Foreign Police of the Presidium of the Police Force (BBFP PFP) publishes a biannual statistical overview of legal and illegal migration in Slovak Republic, also on the website of the MoI.

(1) Total number of decisions includes also decisions to discontinue the proceedings, e.g. in case of absconding.
(2) Total number of rejections includes decisions rejecting the asylum application as inadmissible and manifestly unfounded.
(3) Total number of decisions on granting asylum, including asylum for family reunification (azyl na účel zlúčenia rodiny) and asylum on humanitarian grounds (azyl z humanitných dôvodov). The number in parentheses indicates the number of decisions granting asylum for family reunification. The number of decisions on granting asylum on humanitarian grounds is indicated in the column “Humanitarian protection”. (See National forms of protection).
(4) Total number of decisions on the provision of subsidiary protection, including subsidiary protection for family reunification (doplnková ochrana na účel zlúčenia rodiny).
