F. The safe country concepts contains sections on:

  1. Safe country of origin
  2. Safe third country
  3. First country of asylum

Civil society organisations expressed concern about the implementation of the safe third country concept in the absence of an adequate assessment on the human rights situation in the countries and in the absence of clarification about the possible risks to which a person returning there would be exposed. Repeatedly, precautionary measures – interim measures – are pronounced against Switzerland, on the basis of which the UN committees temporarily stop threatening expulsions.[1]
