Migrationsverket

The Swedish Security Service also has the authority to intervene and initiate a procedure stipulated in the Act concerning Special controls of Certain Aliens[1]  at all stages of the procedures in cases raising issues of national security, or when individuals can be assumed to participate in or commit crimes stipulated in the Terrorist Offences Act. They can intervene in cases regarding residence permits, refugee status determination and travel documents.
