There is no differential treatment of specific nationalities in detention in Poland. Although in 2021 and 2022 the citizens of Afghanistan, Yemen, Iran, Somalia and Syria were often released from detention centres, based on a decision of the Head of the Office for Foreigners within 2-4-month time limit.[1] In the second half of 2021 (from July to December), 324 asylum seekers were released from the detention centre. In the first half of 2022, 116 people were released.[2]
