Slovenia applies the following procedures:

  1. Regular procedure
  2. Dublin
  3. Admissibility procedure
  4. Accelerated procedure

Although regulated in Article 43 of the International Protection Act (IPA),[1] the procedure at the border, airport or port is not used in practice. People who apply for international protection at the border, airport or port are therefore first processed by the Police in the preliminary procedure and then transferred to the Asylum Home in Ljubljana or its branch in Logatec as part of the ordinary procedure.
